Chapter 21: Through Caves and Secrets
We were about to face the enemy, and I felt utterly rejuvenated. Viktor and Raoul stood bravely before me, ready for battle. I had never seen them like this before — so determined, so brave. Taking a deep breath, I steeled myself for the fight ahead and readied my fangs and my claws, which had grown like when I faced Dario.
More than a dozen guards swarmed my prison cell. Viktor and Raoul fearlessly leapt forward first, pushing past the guards and taking them by surprise as they swung their swords viciously. They fought like true warriors, cutting down their enemies one by one with skillful strength and precision. Inspired by their courage, I jumped in front of them and started slashing throats as those armed soldiers started pouring in. It was pure carnage, but I cared little now. My body felt godlike with Viktor’s blood, yearning for flesh and endless blood flow.
With each blow, more fell. The gruesome cries, the spreading guts, and fallen heads made a path for us to get away. In just a glimpse Viktor, Raoul, and I had killed twelve soldiers and we were free to go.
“Who are you?” Raoul asked cunningly, looking at me with wonder in his eyes.
I only smirked and carried on; I felt outside of myself, as if I were a different person, the shy and timid Lucy only a distant memory.

As we emerged from the prison, I could hardly believe what had just happened. Baba had been preparing to help us all along, and she had sent Raoul to aid in our escape from Hel. We crept through the dark, twisting passageways surrounding the tower, being careful not to draw too much attention to ourselves. We were heading towards the subterranean waterfall Drochfhuil, where we were supposed to meet Baba and make our escape from the city of Babel.
Babel was Naran’s dominion, thus we’d never find safety there, especially after our splendid deed. We walked making sure no one followed us. We had a two-day journey ahead of us, at least, and that meant we had to move fast. Besides, we’d certainly have hunters track our every move as Naran could never leave such humiliation unrewarded. The queen was nothing but a vengeful bitch at heart, a cruel beast that used all necessary means to have her will brought to fruition.
As we made our way through the city, we had to be careful to stay hidden from the other vampires, who could sense our presence at any moment. We moved quietly, staying in the shadows and avoiding any areas where we might be seen. It was a nerve-wracking experience, but eventually, we made it through the city and were able to breathe a sigh of relief as we left the busy, bustling streets behind us. From there, we were able to relax a bit more and take in the surrounding landscape as we continued our journey towards the waterfall.
At the end of the first day we reached a small secluded place; it was an open space bordered by timeless limestone columns, a place where we could rest and find our peace for a brief moment.
Parting with the group, I sat right on the shore of a pond, gazing at my reflection. As recent memories rolled inside my head, I heard a voice caressing both my ears.
“You fought valiantly back there. I didn’t think you had it in you!”
I turned around and saw Raoul’s cheeky grin.
“You think?”
“You are quite strong,” he said with admiration in his voice. “Viktor must have done something right when he turned you into one of us,” he added with a smirk on his face.
Raoul's simple compliment made me feel good about myself. I felt like I had grown quite a lot in the past weeks.
“Thank you.” I said softly. "You're not too bad yourself."
Raoul smiled, and nodded his head.
"I guess I am as strong." Raoul said after a moment of silence. "I suppose it's just to be expected, given that we are brother and sister."
I was surprised by the comment and turned to look at Raoul. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean that Viktor turned me too," Raoul replied. "Back in the XVII century. I was a lost, drunken soldier when he found me. He saw something in me that no one else did, and he turned me into a vampire. I owe him everything."
I listened intently as Raoul spoke, fascinated by the story of how he became a vampire. I had never really thought about Viktor turning anyone else before, and it was strange to think that he had been around for so long.
"Thank you for sharing that with me, Raoul," I said with a small smile. "I'd like to think that we have more in common than just being turned by Viktor."
Raoul chuckled. "Yes, me too. You know, Lucy, you're not just strong physically. You have a strong spirit too. I think Viktor saw that in you when he turned you. He saw something special."
I sensed a warm feeling spread through my chest at Raoul's words. I had never felt very special or important before, but hearing Raoul say that Viktor saw something in me was a nice feeling. I looked out at the pond again, lost in thought, as Raoul sat beside me in companionable silence.
Suddenly, Raoul broke the silence by clearing his throat. I turned my head to see him standing several feet away from me, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
"What are you doing?" I asked, confused by his sudden movement.
"Watch this," he replied with a smirk, and then closed his eyes.
For a moment nothing happened, but suddenly there was a soft shimmering in the air around Raoul's body and he began to fade away until all that remained was an empty space where he had been standing just moments before.
I gasped in amazement. "Where did you go?" I asked, looking around the area where he had been standing.
"I'm still here," came his voice from behind me. I spun around and saw him reappear, a wide smile on his face.
"That's incredible!" I said, still trying to wrap my head around what I had just seen. "How did you do that?"
"It's hard to explain, I guess it's simply something I can do, like moving my right arm. I can turn invisible whenever I want. Some vampires have special abilities." He replied, as if it was something mundane.
"That's amazing. Do all vampires have a special power like that?"
"No," Raoul replied. "Only a few of us have these abilities. It's rare, and it takes time for them to manifest. But I believe that strong vampires like us are more likely to have them."
"That's interesting," I said, feeling a sense of curiosity and wonder. "Do you think I might get a special power too?"
"It's possible," Raoul said with a smile. "You're already showing signs of being a strong vampire, so who knows what else you might be capable of. But it takes time and practice to develop these abilities, so don't worry if nothing happens."
I nodded, feeling excited at the possibility of having my own special power.
“Are you showing off your invisibility?” Viktor remarked as he approached us.
Raoul vanished into thin air chuckling, and ran away like a little child. Only Viktor and I remained by the pond.
“Do you have a special power too?” I asked Viktor, looking into his eyes. He was silent for a moment and then sighed.
“Yes, I do have a special power,” he replied softly. “But... I don't want to tell you about it."
I felt a twinge of disappointment in my chest as he said those words. I had been so excited by the possibility of having my own power and the thought that Viktor had one too made me feel even more enticed by the idea. But he didn't want to share it with me, which hurt more than I expected it would.
I stood there quietly for a few moments, unsure what to say or do after that. Viktor also seemed quiet, his gaze fixed on the pond. After what felt like an eternity of silence, he finally spoke up again. "It's getting late," he said in a hushed voice. "We should find somewhere to rest for the night."
Raoul then reappeared and announced that he had found a nearby spot where we could sleep. Raoul offered to keep watch over Viktor and I while we slept. He had taken it upon himself to be the first one to take watch, so that afterward Viktor could take over and he could get some rest. It had been a long day and we were all exhausted. Viktor agreed to the plan.
“You should clean yourself off the blood and dirt.” Viktor said, looking at me.
Indeed, I looked at my clothes and saw the dried-up blood and all the dirt staining the fabric.
“I guess,” I muttered with a feeble voice.
Viktor had already lost half his clothes as he was getting ready for a bath himself. His slight head nod instructed me that I should do the same. I obeyed. I felt my heart thumping as I slowly took off my clothes. Viktor's seductive stare and muscled body made me feel aroused. His strong arms and broad chest were so appealing that I could barely contain myself.
He then took off his pants, revealing his most attractive feature — his impressive cock. Seeing it was enough to make my mouth water and I couldn't help but admire the sheer beauty of his manhood.
Suddenly feeling an intense surge of desire, I wanted nothing more than to touch him. To feel the warmth of his skin against my own and experience the pleasure of his tongue on my clit again. I gulped at the thought, feeling my excitement swell inside me even further as he stepped into the water with a knowing look on his face.
I followed Viktor into the cold water of the pond. It felt refreshing against my skin and I almost laughed in delight when I submerged myself completely. The water was clear, making it easy to see Viktor's impressive body as he swam around. He moved with grace and ease, the muscles on his back rippling across his skin as he moved.
The sight of him made my heart skip a beat and I felt an intense urge to get closer to him. As if sensing this, Viktor motioned for me to come closer and wrapped his arms around me in an embrace.
"I thought I lost you", Viktor muttered in my ear, his hot breath tingling my neck.
"I was scared, Lucy. Scared of losing you back in that prison. The thought of you being hurt or worse, it was unbearable." His voice was rough with emotion.
I reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze. "I'm here, Viktor. I'm safe." I could feel the relief in his touch as he squeezed my hand back.
"I know. I just couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to you... And all because of my mistakes." He looked at me, his beautiful blue eyes shining with emotion.
I felt my heart swell with love for him. "It'll be all right. I'm fine. We're together." I said while I runned my hands through his pecs.
“Thank you…” I whispered, kissing his neck gently.
The marks my fangs had made were there, but I had no intention to bite back. "Thank you for saving me."
“You know I couldn’t let you die, I couldn’t…”
His words soothed my inner wounds, right as he started washing the dry blood off my back.
“Here, let me…”
Viktor took me closer to him, and I gasped as his lips kissed my neck, and his tongue licked the water off my skin. His hands started caressing my body in slow circles, stimulating my nipples and running down my back. His kisses became more passionate, and I felt Viktor’s hard-on pressing against my ass.
He then pulled away from me slightly and ran his fingers up and down my inner thigh, before eventually moving them to my clit. The sensation was exquisite, and a deep moan escaped from me as he continued to pleasure me with his touch. Slowly but surely he increased the intensity of his rubbing until I could take no more. With one final thrust of his fingers inside me, I experienced an incredible orgasm that left me trembling in Viktor's arms.
Soon I started craving something more. Biting my lower lip, I reached to grab his mighty cock so I could rub it with my hand, but he pulled back with anger.
“No! Don't do that.” He said, pushing me away from him.
I stumbled back as Viktor's face twisted in fury, eyes blazing. His fists clenched and unclenched and his body shook with rage. His chest heaved as he fought to contain himself, and I felt my heart skip a beat at the sight of his inner turmoil. The sudden action left me confused and I stared at him, feeling hurt and rejected. What had just happened?
“What’s wrong with you?” I shouted angrily.
He didn’t say a word, and simply approached me through the water. His size was utterly gargantuan, and I sensed a different energy in him, one that frightened me dearly.
